Bird Girl – (24″) – Without Pedestal

Bird Girl was sculpted by Sylvia Shaw Judson in 1936 and made famous by the best selling non-fiction novel and movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil by John Berendt.
After the release of the book, the original statue was removed from the Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA and currently resides in a museum in downtown Savannah. Bird Girl has become one of the most recognized sculptures in America.

I bought a Bird Girl for my stepmom. She once had the same statue (sourced elsewhere) in her garden years ago. The old statue had not held up in the weather and she left it behind when they sold the property. I overheard her one day saying she missed her “Bird Girl”. The news statue is lovely, made of superior material and she adores it. I so appreciated that it arrived in time for Christmas. My only regret is not buying a pedestal.

Very nice quality product! It arrived very quickly, almost scary how fast it arrived! But if this is something you are interested in, you will not be disappointed in the quality of what you are getting. I maybe would have got the pedestal if I did it over again but I guess that’s a personal choice. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love my Bird Girl statue. I was afraid she would not look the way she did online but she is actually even more beautiful and she is a very substantial weight. the statue arrived in a timely manner and was extremely well packed. The only problem is I love it so much I haven’t been able to leaveit outside!!
